    When attempting to measure objects for runout (such as round cylindrical metals or gun barrels) the NOGA is, without a doubt, one of the best tools out there. To adjust the tool to place your measuring instrument exactly where you want it, you turn the lever at the bottom to engage the magnet and t...read morehen turn the knob. By turning the knob, the entire measuring arm (from the base to the top most point) goes "limp" which allows you to place your measuring instrument in whatever position you desire. Then, you turn the knob, and the entire NOGA remains "frozen" in that specific position. By far, this is one of the most adaptable and tactile pieces of equipment on my lathe bench.
