The Mechammer Mark II Planishing Hammer is affordable, easy to learn, and easy to use. Mechammer calls it their 'set it and forget it' machine, implying once the machine is set up, it doesn't require constant adjustment for varying material or thickness. The unique electric motor and clutch drive system allow for extreme control of power and portability for use anywhere around the shop.

Unlike other traditional planishers, the dies do not clamp the material, giving the operator ultimate control when maneuvering the panel. The dies simply rest on the material while a mechanical interchangeable piston alternately creates positive and negative pneumatic pressure. This process reciprocally moves a pneumatic ram creating cushioned hammer blows that are automatically adjusted for the thickness of material being planished or shaped. The interchangeable pistons can be exchanged for heavier or lighter impact on the material and an aluminum piston is available for aluminum work.

Die sets are available for a variety of tasks such as planishing, beading, shaping, flanging and tipping. Linear stretch dies and other special anvils are offered as well. Mechammer can also use CP style tooling with the proper adapters. Other features include a 22 inch throat depth, variable speed operation up to 3000 beats per minute, and a flanging arm for work in tight spaces.
