Knu-Vise Hold Down Clamps

The Hold-Down action is the most common type of toggle clamp. They are available with handle that are either vertical or horizontal when the clamp is closed. They are used to apply a downward clamping force.

Double Toggle Vertical Designed to apply clamping force to a surface perpendicular to the clamps mounting surface but at the same time allow the toggle bar to swing away from the workpiece allowing access from any direction.

The term VERTICAL refers to the position of the clamp handle when the clamp is in the closed position. When the clamp is activated the handle and the toggle bar (clamping arm) travel in the same direction, away from the work piece when the clamp is opened and toward the work piece then the clamp is closed.

HORIZONTAL style of clamp, the handle moves into a HORIZONTAL position when the clamp is closed. When the clamp is actuated the handle and the toggle bar (clamping arm) travel in opposite directions with the toggle bar moving toward the workpiece as the handle is moved toward the horizontal position.
